Adding Prominence to an all caps word
When working with a small number of words that are set in all caps, adding height to the first letter of a word makes that word look more important and adds hierarchy to the layout.
Why this works: Capitalized words are typically the start of a sentence, so larger letters in relation to smaller letters indicate a starting point to the reader.
